In today’s coffee shop coaching, we addressed challenges that we are going through in the search for a meaningful career and striving to be there for loved ones, for which we would wish for a different outcome than what we are seeing right now. We established that the search for a way that gives us control of the situation is futile. Control is not really what we will achieve nor what we should even strive for. In our challenges, however much they demand from us, it is essential that we remember that we need to stay healthy and balanced. The striving for control very often does the opposite; it stresses us out and costs us sleep and well-being. Taking care of ourselves through emotionally letting go of what stresses us right now, seeking distance, using balancing techniques, breathing techniques, yoga stretches, etc., will bring us closer to what we want to achieve than desperate longing for control of the situation.
