Today’s Takeaway from Free Virtual Coffeeshop Group Coaching – via ZOOM – 06 November 2022 is:
“As we go through life, we’re piling on deeper and deeper layers of consciousness, which leads to a greater capacity to take multiple perspectives. It’s a little like the many layers of dessert piled on Miss Piggy’s plate at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Only with this, it’s less carbs and more nutrition.”

Overwhelm is a big topic in today’s VOCA world as we globally work our way beyond the COVID-19 disruptive slowdown. In today’s coffee shop coaching, we addressed how a multiplicity of challenges, during which not only our capacities and abilities are being demanded but also goes off our past feel like being awakened, can put us into overwhelm and exhaustion. In a situation like this, it is easy to forget the abilities and the qualities we do have within ourselves to cope with these challenges.
In a situation like this, it is helpful to lean back, breathe, become aware of any discomfort, and decide to be comfortable within the discomfort. Awareness of the entire situation and ourselves within it can help us to remember our personal abilities, skill sets, and personality traits that enable us to handle many complex life situations. Breaking the complexity of the challenge into pieces to be able to address it one step at a time makes it easier to accomplish the entire task. Once we choose this route and once we develop an awareness of ourselves within the situation, we will not only be able to pass our test with more ease, we will also be able to discover the opportunities that open up for us on the way and from which we can reap benefits.
Three questions from today’s coffeeshop coaching:
- How are my reactive behaviors helping me?
- How can I open-up to change through learning new terrain?
- How do I dare to take new, unfamiliar steps to my new life vision?
